M&S to charge 5p for carrier bags
My guess may be the money will go towards helping Israel build new modern cities in Palestine, or perhaps buy more bulldozers to break houses of thousands in Palestine.
Additional info about M&S:
M&S supports Israel with approximately $233 million in trade every year (Jerusalem Report, 5 June 2000) .
The Israeli ambassador to England recently honored Marks & Spencer for the company's continued support of Israel. (JTA, 13 December 2000).
In 1998 Sir Richard Greenbury Marks & Spencer, received the Jubilee Award by the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. This is the highest tribute ever awarded by the "State of Israel" in recognition of those individuals and organizations, that through their investments and trade relationships, have done the most to strengthen the Israeli economy. The 25-year-old suffered a fractured left fibula and an open dislocation of his left ankle. Eduardo will have his leg in plaster for the next six to eight weeks before beginning a rehabilitation programme. Arsenal say the Croatia international should be running again in six months.
Eduardo is expected to be out of the game for nine months
Britain in need of death penalty?
Think British people finally realising there's no point for us (the taxpayers) to pay for these filthy rapists, paedophile, murderers to be kept alive in jail for 30 years or more.
Seriously why should we? They are nothing but a desease to the society.

BBC: Men arrested in Saudi for 'flirting'
Prosecutors in Saudi Arabia have begun investigating 57 young men who were arrested on Thursday for flirting with girls at shopping centres in Mecca.
These people should be ashamed, calling yourself Muslim and doing this even after living in a land like Saudi... how flipping dare you?
The men are accused of wearing indecent clothes, playing loud music and dancing in order to attract the attention of girls, the Saudi Gazette reported.
Indecent cloths and music?... ok not sure if this is 100% true, because it's the media reporting it, but if it is true, what a bunch of horny freaks, they seriously need a life.
The mutaween enforce Saudi Arabia's conservative brand of Islam, Wahhabism.
Can't believe they still refer Salafism (People who strives to follow the lifestyle and teachings of the first three generations of Muslims; the Companions, the Successors and their successors) as Wahabism (named after the revivalist muslim scholar Shaykh Abdul Wahab).
Insha'Allah (God willing) I will keep you guys updated
Kitbag sucks
After I made the Puma trainer post, I actually purchased the trainer from kitbag.co.uk, but the next day they emailed me saying:
With regard to your order placed at Kitbag we are very sorry to inform you that one or more of the products you have requested is not available. This is due to an error when we attempted to assign stock to your order. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause. We would be delighted to help you find an alternative
Soon as I checked the email (2 days later), I went on the kigbag site and the item was still up for sale... really annoyed, stupid timewasters.
lack of sleep
Ah man... yesterday night was one of the most frutrating nights ever... I simply couldn't sleep because we had this coffee type thing called moccah or something from Cafe Isha, it was nasty... it just reminded me of how much I hate coffee.
I stayed up til 3:30 just being bored, now that i'm at work I feel drowsy.
But I've been feeling really good mentally since my last frustrated post 2 days ago... also feel motivated to gain some Islamic knowledge, alhamdulilah (Praise be to God).
argh
really don't like hearing people complain, even when it's not for something I've done!!
seriously, some people really don't understand how frustrating it is to hear them complain for over 30minutes, continually.
it just goes on and on and on... it really hurts my head, that's probabily THE most annoying thing in the world!!
Gunman kills six at US university
Believe it or not this is the fourth shooting at a US education establishment within a week. (ref).
The guman described to me white was armed with two handguns and a shotgun. He turned the gun on himself after open firing at the students in a lecture room.
What I was wondering is what if the Gunman was a Muslim, would they have simply mention the colour or the religion along with it?
Another modern day pagan ritual - valentine's day
Who was Valentine? Why is this day observed? Legends abound, as they do in all such cases, but this much is clear:
Valentine's Day began as a pagan ritual started by Romans in the 4th century BCE to honor the god Lupercus. The main attraction of this ritual was a lottery held to distribute young women to young men for "entertainment and pleasure"--until the next year's lottery. Among other equally despicable practices associated with this day was the lashing of young women by two young men, clad only in a bit of goatskin and wielding goatskin thongs, who had been smeared with blood of sacrificial goats and dogs. A lash of the "sacred" thongs by these "holy men" was believed to make them better able to bear children.
As usual, Christianity tried, without success, to stop the evil celebration of Lupercalia. It first replaced the lottery of the names of women with a lottery of the names of the saints. The idea was that during the following year the young men would emulate the life of the saint whose name they had drawn. (The idea that you can preserve the appearance of a popular evil and yet somehow turn it to serve the purpose of virtue, has survived. Look at all those people who are still trying, helplessly, to use the formats of popular television entertainments to promote good. They might learn something from this bit of history. It failed miserably) Christianity ended up doing in Rome, and elsewhere, as the Romans did.
The only success it had was in changing the name from Lupercalia to St. Valentine's Day. It was done in CE 496 by Pope Gelasius, in honor of some Saint Valentine. There are as many as 50 different Valentines in Christian legends. Two of them are more famous, although their lives and characters are also shrouded in mystery. According to one legend, and the one more in line with the true nature of this celebration, St. Valentine was a "lovers'" saint, who had himself fallen in love with his jailer's daughter.
Due to serious troubles that accompanied such lottery, French government banned the practice in 1776. In Italy, Austria, Hungry, and Germany also the ritual vanished over the years. Earlier, it had been banned in England during the 17th century when the Puritans were strong. However in 1660 Charles II revived it. From there it also reached the New World, where enterprising Yankees spotted a good means of making money. Esther A. Howland, who produced one of the first commercial American Valentine's Day cards called--- what else--- valentines, in the 1840s, sold $5,000 worth--when $5,000 was a lot of money--the first year. The valentine industry has been booming ever since.
Muslims don't need any of these fake days to show their love for their husband or wife, to us everyday is special, Alhamdulilah (all praise belongs to God)
In Islam, the festivals are clearly defined and well established, and no additions or subtractions may be accepted. They are an essential part of our worship and there is no room for ijtihaad or personal opinion.
